Dutch pig artist gets international attention
< Terug

June 2005 - One of the leading international websites about pigs www.thepigsite.com/gallery has a new novelty called ¨the Pigsite Pig Art Gallery¨ by Charles Stephan, artist and President of the ' t Gorke foundation - ¨I am absolutely honored,¨ says Stephan.

Charles is also excited to share his involvement and leadership role in a Green Beings Global animated film production called ¨Operation Piggy Rescue, Inc. Moovie¨ to be released in late 2007. Charles latched on the project in late 2003, when he and San Francisco-based screenwriter, Byron Rourkacha locked hooves during a serendipitous series of email correspondences, some 5,500 miles apart.

¨By assigning Charles to the role of Art director and Visual developer I've placed a huge burden on his shoulders,¨ Byron wryly admits with a smile, but then goes on to say ¨Though Charles has already passed the test by designing some of the star characters which have been likened to Dumbo and Nemo by film producers and investors starting to zero in on our landmark projects¨

In closing, Charles's Lil' pOtbellies (sculpture and clay piglets) are now displayed on the art pages of the Dutch animal welfare website of the first hour: www.varkensinnood.nl -- foundation Varkens in Nood (Pigs in Need)
